Brief Biography:
Ms. Skeen joined the DCN team in February 2018 as an Assistant Professor
in the Sim Lab for Med Surg 1. She is in her 40th year as a professional nurse that began when she earned her diploma in Peoria Illinois
in 1978. She earned a BS degree in Health Arts next before leaving Illinois for Colorado and pursuing her nursing degrees. Deborah received
her BSN in 2009 and recently completed her Master's in Nursing (2018). The vast majority of her experience is in emergency nursing. She has
spent time working as a flight nurse, in ICU, Labor & Delivery, Urgent care, shipboard nursing, and as a school nurse. In her free time
Deborah loves to play in the mountains and travel.
