Brief Biography:
Ms. Sinclair joined the DCN Team in April of 2019 as an OB Simulation
Instructor. Her current role is Assistant Professor of NUR 250 and OB Simulation. She graduated from Fresno City College in 1980 with
her ADN. Prior to teaching, Laurie worked in specialty areas in the hospital: Operating Room, Case Manager, Labor and Delivery,
Postpartum, Newborn Nursery, and Childbirth education. Along with teaching at DCN, she continues to work in the hospital as an OB
clinical instructor. Late in life, she obtained her RN-BSN from University of Texas, Arlington in 2013 and her MSN for University of
Colorado, Denver in 2018. Laurie is a member of Sigma Theta Tau and Counselor to Denver College of Nursing, Chi Alpha Chapter.
Currently, She has two grown daughters and expecting her first grandchild in June 2021. In her spare time enjoys reading, gardening,
being in the mountains, and snow skiing. |
