Jeannine Nixon

Brief Biography:
Mrs. Nixon’s joined the DCN team in October of 2014 and has a background in Emergency Nursing with a Pediatric specialty. Jeannine has worked at Children’s Hospital and National Jewish Health here in Colorado. She began her medical career as a medic in the U.S. Air Force and worked in many nursing fields before finding her passion was the ER/UC, including OB, MH, and Med/Surg. Mrs. Nixon was a member on the education, research/documentation, and orientation committees at Children’s. She earner her MSN with an emphasis in Nursing Education. At DCN, she's taught med/surg, pediatric, and OB clinicals and simulation classes, and was a clinical facilitator for capstone placement. She also managed the Clinical and Simulation departments and oversaw the Learning Labs. Currently she teaches the Capstone Seminar. Mrs. Nixon can be found skiing or hiking (depending on the time of year) on her days off.
