Brief Biography:
Professor McClellan joined the DCN Team in August of 2018 and
has been a practicing Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for over 30 years. She has worked in trauma centers, surgery
centers, rural and community hospitals. Her patient population has included neonates to geriatric patients. She has been on teams
harvesting organs for transplantation, involved in fetal blood transfusions, electrophysiological cardiac mapping, interventional
radiology procedures and a consultant for Medtronic evaluating anesthesia and operating room equipment. She has taught airway
management to residents, obstetrical anesthesia management to patients and nurses, and simulation for code blue in the operating
room. No longer taking 24 hour call Professor McClellan is dabbling in screenwriting, yoga and balanced living. |
