Brief Biography: Ms. Kwiecinski joined the DCN team in March 2015. She began
teaching Med/Surg I Clinical then moved to the simulation lab. She now teaches OB simulations. She graduated from UC School of
Nursing with her BSN in 1997 and from CCN with her MSN in nursing education in 2015. She began her nursing career in the NICU at
University Hospital as a staff nurse then as a clinical coordinator and permanent charge nurse. She then spent a few years in the
ED at University Hospital. She next worked at St. Anthony’s North in the NICU/Postpartum/L&D for 10 years. Twice a year Brenda
presents on newborn care at the Regional Mom/Baby Didactic Conference at Lutheran Hospital. She has two daughters and a husband she
loves to spend time with; she also enjoy sewing and quilting.
