Brief Biography:
Dr. Hecker joined the DCN Team in April of 2020. She began teaching
Foundations then moved to the simulation lab. She graduated from Grossmont College with her ADN in 1991 and Walden University with her
MSN and DNP. She began her nursing career in Postpartum and soon moved to NICU where she stayed for about 30 years. Dr. Hecker began
teaching in 2010 for the University of Phoenix and continued with San Diego City College, Southwestern College and West Coast
University. She has 3 adult children and 6 grand children.
