Brief Biography:
Mrs. Haskell’s nursing experience began in pediatric nursing. She is an experienced educator in health assessment, pediatrics,
simulation, and global health. She has helped design and teach classes for the online RN to BSN and MSN programs. Prior to
teaching, Tara worked in pediatric specialty areas: oncology, medical-surgical, orthopedics, pulmonary, cardiology, PICU, NICU,
and the emergency department. Tara is a certified pediatric nurse. In the DCN GHP program, Tara has led International medical
trips to Uganda, Cambodia, and India. She also coordinates local volunteer events, plans and delivers educational meetings on
global health, manages and interviews students seeking to go on international medical missions, prepare for international medical
internships world-wide and volunteers locally as well. Tara has won the Distinguished Graduate Award from Florida State University.
She is the Vice President of Sigma Theta Tau Chi Alpha Chapter, a member of the Society of Pediatric Nurses, and a CPN. |
