Sue graduated from nursing school in 1979. Back then, the NCLEX
was a 2 & 1/2 day test in a huge conference center! Her work for the next ten years included the Peace Corps in the Congo. In
1989 she graduated as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner. Along with that she worked with Planned Parenthood then in 2000, she
moved to Guatemala with her husband to learn Spanish. Upon her return to the US in 2007, she worked with Denver Health at South
High School (w/a large refugee population). Sue felt like in this job she was using all the skills she had learned along the way.
Recently, Sue aimed for more work-life balance and joined DCN to teach pharmacology and dosage calculations part time. Sue loves
the student contact and the experiences they all bring to the classroom.
