Brief Biography:
Ms. Colville graduated from Geisinger Medical Center School of Nursing
in 1971 and began her career as a licensed Professional Nurse. She worked in cardiac care, intensive care and geriatrics. Twila has
experience working with children with emotional and developmental disabilities. In 1984, she helped open a psychiatric facility and was
charge nurse on the Children’s and Adolescent units. Some other nursing areas she's handled: Adult, Dual Diagnosis, Eating Disorders,
Women’s Health, Intensive Stabilization psychiatric nursing, and residential care in mental health. Twila has been a Supervisor and worked
as an Education Coordinator, an Infection Control Nurse and a Medical Staff Services Coordinator. She is one of the founding nurses of
The Meadows Psychiatric Center in Central Pennsylvania. In 2005, she joined Lewistown Hospital as a Clinical Analyst and helped nursing,
blood bank, pharmacy and the ED. In 2006 she earned her BSN from Slippery Rock University then began her MSN study majoring in Nursing
Education. Twila joined the DCN team in June of 2017 in the Simulation lab. |
